It’s only natural that Unique Pretzels would gravitate towards a “unique” racetrack. And that’s exactly what happened!
In May 2015, Unique Pretzels and Pocono Raceway announced a multi-year partnership to make Unique the “Official Pretzel of Pocono Raceway.”
Unique is expanding on its original partnership set up with the racetrack. Unique first got involved with Pocono in 2012 by donating welcome baskets to NASCAR drivers as they arrived at the track the Thursday before the race.
The sponsorship increased to not only include the welcome baskets (an anticipated treat for drivers and their crews as they arrive), but Unique products are now available at multiple concessions and in the suites during the track’s three major motorsports events. You’ll also see Unique’s logo on the scoring tower over the next three years.
Known as “The Tricky Triangle,” Pocono Raceway is a family-owned, Pennsylvania-based company, just like Unique. In the 50 years they’ve been in operation, the track has hosted a multitude of national motorsports events, including two NASCAR Sprint Cup Series, an IndyCar Series, and a NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.
In the press release announcing the expanded partnership, Pocono Raceway President/CEO Brandon Igdalsky expressed gratitude for Unique’s support over the last three years.
“Since becoming a partner of ours in 2012, they have offered fans some of the best pretzels I have personally ever tasted,” added Igdalsky. “We are excited to extend our official partnership with this sixth-generation, Pennsylvania family-owned business and to give fans the opportunity to purchase their delicious products at the Raceway for years to come.”
