WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

  • 1 4lb. whole chicken
  • 1 bag Unique Sourdough Rings
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tbsp. vegetable oil.
  • 2 tbsp. salt
  • 1 tbsp. black pepper
  • 3 tbsp. of your favorite dry spice rub
  • 1 can of beer

STEPS:

Remove neck and giblets, rinse chicken inside and out, pat dry. Beat eggs and put in shallow bowl. Mix flour, salt, black pepper, and spice rub in shallow pan. Place about 6 oz. of Unique Sourdough Rings in a large freezer bag and smash into coarse crumbs, transfer also to a shallow pan. Start your grill and bring to roughly 350°. Bathe whole chicken in flour spice mixture, rubbing into all spots. Dip/coat chicken in beaten eggs, then into pretzel ring crumbs, press to adhere. Open beer can and remove/consume half the contents, then lower the birds cavity over the beer can until it will stand on two legs and can like a tripod. Cook chicken with indirect heat in the grill for approximately an hour and 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature registers 165° in the breast. Remove from the grill and let rest for 10 minutes before carving and enjoying!
